In 2005 VIBA announced the creation of a new Joint-venture in Hong Kong together with the Chinese Company CVI (China Venture International), thus establishing VIBA-CVI Ltd whose purpose is the production and commercialisation of  Masterbatches for the specific field of BOPP in China and throughout Southeast Asia. The new partners is a manufacturer of Masterbatches which was previously a VIBA's  agent in China and that, thanks to this new Joint-venture, will be in the position to  produce Masterbatches,  in particular additives, aimed to this market.

This project is not meant  to export back to Europe, but aims at providing a timely service to the local factories, with the support of an efficient and modern Laboratory, therefore able to meet all the different and specific needs of end users.
