VIBA constantly pays great attention to market evolution and to its changing requirements with the aim of offering the most adequate answers to any kind of specific request.

Our products, well known under VIBATAN trade-mark, are appreciated by customers all over the world. VIBA Laboratories are equipped with the most sophisticated technologies and always direct their efforts towards very innovative products which can meet the multiple needs of the market, thus offering a wide range of innovative specialties, but also many tailor-made formulations.

VIBA R&D is mainly located at VIBA SPA plant laboratory in Italy and is continuously working for satisfying all the requests which come from different fields: that of Agriculture, of Automotive, BOPP,  Packaging and Medical. At any rate there is a strict and proactive collaboration  together with a prompt and synergic exchange of information with other VIBA Laboratories which are located outside of Italy: even if independent, all the Laboratories operate by following common methodologies.

Principal VIBA Laboratory equipment :

  • Spectophotometers of primary importance, for the measuring of colorimetric characteristics, equipped with advanced softwares completely developed by VIBA
  • Melt Index Apparatus  and a new Capillary Rheometer
  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Microwave Extractors which accelerate methods requiring the separation of components
  • FT-IR Spectrophotometers  for quality /quantity analysis under transmission or reflection, connected to a microscope; accessories for Far-Infrared analysis and a UV-Visible spectrophotometer for reflectance.
  • Scales for measuring humidity
  • A  DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) used for thermal analysis  and a  OIT test (Oxigen Induction Time)  
  • A new gas Picnometer  which automatically takes density measurements  and an optical microscope section dedicated to the preparation and to any microscopic analysis  (stereomicroscope, traditional microscope , digital micro-camera)
  • Equipment dedicated to filter-testing
  • A Section is dedicated to test how products react to fire, particularly in accordance with UL94 Standard.
